Completed his BSc (Hons) in Biochemistry and PhD at University of Surrey then post-docs at Universities of Turin, Okayama and Aberystwyth before taking up a lectureship at University of Leicester. Currently he is a Principal Toxicologist at Centre for Radiation, Chemical and Environmental Hazards, Public Health England providing advice to UK Government Departments and Agencies and conducting research including human biomonitoring, e-cigarettes, mass casualty decontamination and CO poisoning. E-cigarette research is on-going as part of H2020 SmokeFreeBrain project in collaboration with St George’s University of London.
