Kuiama Thompson is a Senior Public Health Specialty Registrar currently based at Rochdale Borough Council.  She has worked in public health in Greater Manchester for over twelve years, leading various programmes of work.  She has a keen interest in improving health outcomes and reducing health inequalities amongst the most disadvantaged.  Recently she has led the implementation of a smoking cessation pilot in Salford, on behalf of the Greater Manchester Health & Social Care partnership.  Over 1,000 free e-cigarettes were provided to support people with their quit attempt.  She is currently advising on how e-cigarettes might play a greater role in Greater Manchester smoking cessation services.
