Dr Sharon Cox

Research Fellow
London South Bank University's Centre for Addictive Behaviours Research

Dr Sharon Cox is a Trial Manager and Research Fellow at the Centre for Addictive Behaviours Research at London South Bank University. She has over ten years’ experience working in the drug and alcohol field, as both a clinician and a researcher. She has published a number of academic works on both nicotine and alcohol use. She is particularly focused on understanding the disparity between treatment availability and engagement, especially between different communities and by socioeconomic status. Her current research is focused on smoking cessation amongst homeless adults, the impact of e-cigarette health warning labels on perceptions of risk, and an ethnographic exploration of ‘street drinking’ in East London.
